Attendance
Seniors who are habitually truant or have chronic tardiness, equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the school year, will not be permitted to walk in the graduation ceremony. This is the equivalent of 72 hours. If students  reach 72 hours, they will be placed on a contract.

Tardies play a factor in meeting course attendance requirements.

Student Fees
All outstanding fees are due immediately. Payments can be made here or with check or cash at the high school. Students who owe fees will not be permitted to participate in the graduation ceremony and will not receive their diploma. This includes any textbooks that have not been turned in.

Fee payment deadline is May 9, 2024. A fee statement will be mailed to your home by mid October. Contact Mrs. Robey at [email protected] with any fee questions.

Diploma Awareness
Diplomas are a legal document and must contain the student’s Full Legal Name as it appears on their birth certificate. Deviations from their legal name are not permitted. 

The graduate may select a certified, classified or supplemental employee, an administrator from the District, or a Board member to hand them their diploma. They will select their top three choices. An employee, administrator or Board member must be currently employed by the District or employed or served as a Board member during the student’s year of graduation. If a presenter is not selected by the selection deadline, the presenter will default to an Administrator.

Please make sure your information is up to date with the district. This includes: SchoolMessenger, Senior Schoology Page, Announcements, Social Media and Student Email.

SENIOR EVENTS

SEPTEMBER:
Jostens will present on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 to Seniors with information regarding ordering of graduation items. This includes caps, gowns, announcements, etc.

Homecoming Football Game is Friday, September 22, 2023. The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at LHHS. Tickets are $15.

OCTOBER:
Jostens product orders are due Tuesday, October 3, 2023 during lunches. Orders can also be placed by visiting  jostens.com or calling 1-800-Jostens. After October 3, 2023, No order or payments are taken at the high school by high school staff. They must be completed online or via telephone. Products will be delivered to students during lunches on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The college Application Blitz is Thursday, October 19, 2023 during the regular school day in the LHHS Auxiliary Gymnasium from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.

If your senior is in jeopardy of not graduating, you will receive a formal letter from your students counselor by mid October.  A plan will be developed with the counselor and the family. If you are currently unsure of your students status, please reach out to your students counselor.

DECEMBER:
AIR testing will begin December 4, 2023. First semester exams are December 18, 19 and 20, 2023. Students should know Alternative Graduation Pathway information by this point.

JANUARY:
Yearbook photos are due on January 2, 2024. They must be turned into Mrs. Jones at [email protected] in jpeg format. If a photo is not submitted, the Senior Composite photo taken on 2/8/24 will be used. All photos will be approved by a vetting committee before yearbook publication.

College Credit Plus (CCP) and Advanced Placement (AP) information night is Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the HS Auditorium.

FEBRUARY:
Senior composites and yearbook photos are Thursday, February 8, 2024 during regular school hours for students at LHHS and from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for C-TEC and Full Time Post Secondary students. A Sign-Up Genius link will be sent at a later date. Seniors must have their photo taken on one of these two dates to be included in the Senior Composite.

MARCH:
Selections must be made for a student's diploma presenter by Thursday, March 7, 2024. Selections are final.

APRIL:
Graduation speech auditions are Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

MAY:
Prom is Friday, May 3, 2024. Ticket price TBD.

AP testing will happen May 6, 2024 through May 17, 2024. Senior exams are May 14, 15 and 16, 2024 and makeup exams are May 17, 2024. The senior deadline for APEX completion, fee payments and community service hours through x2VOL is May 9, 2024.

Senior clap-out is Tuesday, May 14, 2024 and is for students ONLY.

The last day for seniors is Friday, May 17, 2024.

Senior Awards Night is Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the LHHS Auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm. RSVP required.

Graduation practice and senior brunch is Thursday, May 23, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am. Location is the LHHS cafeteria. Full Attendance required to participate in the Graduation Ceremony.

The C-TEC Honors Ceremony is May 24, 2024 (C-TEC students only).

The 2023 Graduation Ceremony is May 25, 2024. Further details to be released at a later date.
